Windows 2000/XP & Vista compatible - the same software that comes with many of the dedicated USB turntables. We supply version 1.2.6 for XP & 1.3.3 for Vista. Audacity supplied under the GPL distribution agreement. InfraRecorder: Open-source CD writing application - lets you burn the captured .wav files to regular audio CDs, tested with XP & Vista Basic. Infrarecorder is also supplied under the GPL distribution agreement. (If you already have Nero etc, you can use that instead). You can even use the supplied cables to connect a PC running iTunes to your home stereo. That's right, once you're finished copying your old Vinyl you can use our leads to turn your stereo into an iTunes jukebox - just connect the PC's speaker out to the Stereo's CD/Video-In, using our cables and adapters. All software is Open-Source - it is not demo, shareware or time-limited in any way. Why spend £80 on a USB turntable and another £100 on a USB cassette deck? This kit gives great results using your existing stereo ( regular headphone socket required ). Just check our eBay Feedback! We recommend that you should attach our leads to the 3.5mm Line-In socket on a Desktop/Tower PC - see photo. If you have a laptop PC, it won't have a Line-In socket, but you can still get good results using the Mic-In socket. We have tested the kit with desktop PCs running XP & a Dell laptop running Windows Vista Basic. Hundreds of satisfied customers are using this kit to bring their collections into the 21st century. (* Polite notice to other eBay vendors who have started advertising similar kits to ours - The instructions we supply with our kit are (c) Tim Rustige 2007-2008. We have been supplying this kit since October 2007 and have spent many, many hours refining the instructions to make them easy to follow - at least one eBay vendor has decided he can simply take our instructions and remove our copyright notice. Well, we buy other vendors kits periodically & if we catch you copying our instructions we will report you to eBay, and they will suspend your whole eBay account. If that doesn't discourage you we'll report you to Trading Standards, too. Still want to copy our instructions?)
